Abstract

Merging of biotechnology and information technology
resulted in large projects of biological engineering, cyborg
engineering, and non-organic engineering (artificial
intelligence controlling the world). The algorithm creates
automatic artificial life. We are facing the world with
characteristics: first, speed: change. Results from a diverse and
interconnected (exponential) world. Second, the breadth and
depth: the digital revolution leads to a paradigm shift in the
realm of economics, business, society and individuals. Not
only does it change "what" and "how" to do something but
also "who" we are. Third, the impact of the system: This
involves the transformation of the entire system, cross (and
inside) the country, company, industry, and society as a whole.
This automation process has an impact on changing two
interrelated things: the process of job creation and wealth
distribution. Facing this automation era, pesantren already
have a set of values and traditions that have long been
prepared for their generation to face the flow of even
unpredictable changes.
